<p>A hydraulic motor including a motor housing (22) formed by coupling a motor case (20) and an end cover (21), a cylinder block (23) rotatably fitted into the motor housing (22) through a shaft (24), a plurality of cylinder holes (25) formed in parallel with the shaft (24) in the cylinder block (23) and in a spaced-apart relation in a circumferential direction, a piston (26) slidably fitted into each cylinder hole (25), and a swash plate (28) for guiding the piston in the circumferential direction when the piston (26) is caused to slide, which motor is further equipped with a brake device which comprises a ring-like brake member (31) on a stationary side so disposed on the inner peripheral surface of the motor case (20) as to be movable in the axial direction, a ring-like brake member (36) on a rotation side so disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder block (23) as to be movable in the axial direction, a spring member (38) for bringing both ring-like brake members (31, 36) into pressure contact with the inner surface (21a) of the end cover (21), a brake piston (42) movably fitted into the cylinder hole (25) of the end cover (21) in the axial direction to thereby define an oil chamber (42), and moved by a pressure oil supplied to the oil chamber (42) to thereby compress the spring member (38) and to release the pressure contact of both ring-like brake members (31, 36), and an oil path so defined in the end cover (21) as to communicate with the oil chamber.</p> |
