Filter for use in motor vehicles, e.g. in fuel lines or windscreen washing units

A filter for motor vehicles, is located in a hose and consists of a two part housing (2) comprising cylindrical members (4, 5), one of which is inserted into the other, and which have hose connection sections (6, 7). A cylindrical filter element (3) is held between the end of the second cylindrical member (5) and the connection section of the first cylindrical member (4). The filter is pref. located downstream of a pump in a windscreen washing unit.
