Self-emptying centrifuge has a piston slide valve (8) closing the solids chamber (6) outlet (7) and held in position by water in a closing chamber (10)., A hydraulic piston valve (16) is located in an outlet chamber (17) and seals the closing chamber against an outlet. The outlet chamber (17) is sealed from at least one outlet opening by a pref. hydraulically operable spool valve (20). When the solids chamber is completely emptied, the closing water flows into the outlet chamber via the valve, which is held in its closing position by at least one spring (25). |
