Matrix printer has a series of printing wires connected to the armatures of respective solenoids. The latter are arranged in spaced apart relationship in an enlarged part of a housing having external cooling ribs. The wires are arranged in a slender part of the housing extending toward the printing face. In order to improve heat transfer fromt he solenoids to the cooling ribs, a viscous heat-conductive material, pref. a heat-conductive grease is introduced between at least some of the solenoids and the housing wall having the ribs. |
