<p>PURPOSE: To accelerate the process of an equalizer with a simple circuit configuration by varying a tap coefficient in response to a recording density and removing the interference of an adjacent signal. CONSTITUTION: The drawing shows a block diagram of an adaptive equalizer provided in a fixed angular velocity type disk reproducer. A recording density detector 42 obtains a track radius (r) from input track information ti, and further obtains the reference value PW50 of the density. A reference tap coefficient storage unit 44 stores the reference tape coefficient Cref obtained in response to the channel impulse response at the lowest position of the density. A tap coefficient regulator 64 obtains the tap coefficient Ck responsive to the density using the value PW50 of the density with the Cref stored in the unit 44 as a reference. A waveform equalizer 48 removes the interference of the adjacent signal of input reproduced digital signal rk and outputs a reproduced information signal yk.</p> |
