Process using the herbicide propyzamide in sunflower seeds for control of the parasitic weed broomrape (Orobanche cernua Loefl). The object of the invention is a process using the herbicide propyzamide in sunflower seeds for control of the parasitic weed broomrape. This process consists in: a) sticking a layer of a coating substance to the seeds, b) drying the coated seeds, c) mixing the herbicide propyzamide with the coated seeds, while stirring, d) drying the seeds with herbicide adhering to them, and sowing said seeds. With the inventive process medium-high control of broomrape is achieved, without appreciable visual phytotoxicity and using reduced doses of herbicide relative to conventional methods of application. <IMAGE>
