PURPOSE: To allow high density recording and improve fingerprint resistance by forming an image receiving layer which accepts thermal diffusion dyes by a thermoplastic resin which contains an active hydrogen, silicone oil and a multifunctional isocyanate compound. CONSTITUTION: An image receiving body for thermal transfer recording which is intended to obtain a photographic high definition color hard copy has an image receiving layer which accepts a thermal diffusion dyes on a substrate. The image receiving layer is formed by thermally hardening a composition containing at least one of the compounds: a thermoplastic resin containing an active hydrogen, silicone oil, a multifunctional isocyanate compound or a sorbitan alkyl. The thermoplastic resin containing an active hydrogen is a polyvinylacetal resin or a mixture of a polyvinyl acetal resin and a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer having a hydroxyl group. |
