<p>PURPOSE: To correctly calculate tape residual time and to correctly discriminate cassette kind even when the cassette kind is erroneously set or when the setting is forgotten. CONSTITUTION: An FG counter 7 and the FG counter 8 transmit pulse frequencies according to rotation of a supply reel 5 and a take-up reel 6 to a control circuit 11 respectively. The control circuit 11 controls the rotational speed of the supply reel 5 through a drive control circuit 9, and controls the rotational speed of the take-up reel 6 through the drive control circuit 10. Further, the control circuit 11 obtains the correct tape residual time and the correct cassette kind by the operation from a tape speed, a tape thickness, a reel hub size, the rotational cycle of the supply reel 5 and the rotational cycle of the take-up reel 6.</p> |
