PURPOSE: To ensure an outbreak space required for the change of the direction of a shield machine by strokes smaller than conventional devices even in the execution of sharp curve works. CONSTITUTION: In the outbreak device of a shield machine, in which a cutter for outbreak mounted on the outer circumferential section of a cutter wheel is projected or drawn in by using a moving means such as a hydraulic jack, the edge section of the cutter 6a for outbreak is installed at the front end of a shank 7a, and the moving means has the shank 7a slidably held by a guide member 10 fitted to a cutter spoke, the hydraulic jack 8, in which one end is bonded with the shank 7a, and a guide presser 12 for fixing the guide member 10 to the cutter spoke. The cutter 6a for outbreak is projected or pulled in from the outer circumferential end of the cutter spoke by expanding or contracting the hydraulic jack 8. In the shank 7a, one side extends in the axial direction of the guide member 10, and the other side extends in the direction of a tunnel shaft (backward) through a notched section 12a formed to the guide presser 12. |
