PURPOSE: To enable an information processing system opened to many servers to efficiently and effectively utilize the ability of each server. CONSTITUTION: Each server Li is incorporated with a charge calculating means MCCi which calculates the charge to be born by a server in accordance with the degree of utilization at first prescribed sampling point of time during a period X, a means MCPi which calculates the rate of change of the charge and the gradient of a charging line at the first sampling point of time, and a storing means TCAi which stores the charge and rate of change. A customer has a poling processor PSC which requests each server for the gradient and mean value of the charge calculated for a prescribed number in the period X at second prescribed sampling point of time in a period X, a second storing means MP which stores the gradients and mean values of the charges of all servers controlled by the processor PSC, and a means which selects the server having the smallest burden in a period during which the service required by a working application must be given. |
