PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the liquid flow in a lumen to take the shape of a compensated lumen even if the catheter tube is deformed with twists. SOLUTION: A cylindrical catheter tube 30 has a body 32 of an elastic material, with a smooth cylindrical surface 34 on its outer periphery and a D-shaped lumen 36 in its interior. The lumen 36 has even walls 38, 40, 42. The even walls 38, 40 are interconnected with one another at a small radius circular corner 44, and the even walls 38, 42 are interconnected with one another at a small radius circular corner 46. The even walls 40, 42 are connected by a circular wall 48. It is proved by tests that the lumen 36 characterized by such a shape can prevent the blockade of the lumen of a catheter tube even if the catheter tube 30 is entangled, wound, twisted or corrupted. |
