<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor which has substantially no influence of positive or negative memory by specifying the contact angle of water to the surface of the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor is used for the image forming method including a process to form an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor by electrification and exposure and to develop the electrostatic latent image with a toner and a process to transfer the toner image to a transfer material. The toner remaining on the photoreceptor after the transfer process is recovered in the developing process. The contact angle of water to the surface of this photoreceptor is specified to >=90 deg.. By giving release property to the surface of the photoreceptor, the amt. of the toner remaining after the transfer process can be significantly decreased. Thereby, shielding of light due to the remaining toner is hardly caused so that production of a negative ghost image can be substantially prevented. Further, the cleaning efficiency in the developing process for the remaining toner after transfer is improved so that production of a positive ghost image can be prevented.</p> |
