PURPOSE: To take out the packets of the same data kind from the coexisting packets of the different data kinds and to perform processings for the respective kinds. CONSTITUTION: A packet 1 group provided with data information including the data kind and a data length in a head as a header is written in a common buffer memory part 11 not depending on the data kind and the packets of the desired data kind are read as needed from the buffer memory part by the control of a central arithmetic processing part 14. In this information storage and management device 9, the packet is introduced to the common buffer memory part through a header detection part 10 and the header information obtained in the header detection part 10 and a write leading address to the buffer memory part are written in a FIFO memory part 13 and stored through a processing part 12. The processing part 12 interrupts the central arithmetic processing part 14 and writes the contents of the FIFO memory part 13 in memory blocks 16A and 16B.
