PURPOSE: To increase an operating speed and to reduce energy necessary for an operating device by introducing working oil from an oil pressure circuit to the upper/lower part, of a piston and engaging/releasing a ram machining means. CONSTITUTION: A ram 18 is not brought into contact nor engaged with a cassette 23 and is not operated toward the cassette 23. Under this condition, if a workpiece is pitch-fed from the right to the left and a crank shaft 13 is rotated, all of three rams 18 are moved upward/downward, and machining is carried out only in two machining units 21 on the right side, while machining is not carried out in a machining unit 21 on the left side, Therefore, the specific machining unit can be selectively turned into an unoperated condition even when sequential feed machining is carried out by means of a mechanical press such as a crank press. Accordingly, an operation device in a machining unit gives driving force by a mechanical structure, so that the machining unit can be operated at a high speed. |
