PURPOSE: To efficiently and safely measure the paint film thickness at a high position of a high chimney or the like. CONSTITUTION: At the time of the measurement or the like of the paint film thickness of the chimney of the height of about 200m, a measuring person holds a film thickness measurement device 2, climbs the chimney 1 and measures the paint film thickness. Measured data are originated from a measured data transmission part 2b by radio, received in a measured data reception part 3 on ground and displayed on the display part of a personal computer 4. On the ground, a data receiver instructs marking to a paint defective part or the like to the measuring person on the chimney by the radio based on the measured data displayed on the personal computer 4. Thus, film thickness measurement is left to a painter or the like who is experienced in a high position operation, the decline of operation efficiency and a danger caused by performing the high position operation by a person inexperienced in the high position operation are evaded and an efficient and safe operation is realized. |
