PURPOSE: To improve the driving visibility by connecting multiple plate members to form a cab guard protecting a driver's cab from scattered gravel, bendably fitting the cab guard along guide rails on both sides, and opening it when unnecessary. CONSTITUTION: Multiple guard plate members 26, 27, 28 are bendably connected to form a cab guard 25 protecting the cab 15 of a hydraulic shovel, rollers 24 are provided on both sides, and the cab guard 25 is fitted movably along guide rails 16. The cab guard 25 is fitted openably by a hand winch 19. A hydraulic winch or an electric winch operated via a switch action may be arranged in place of the hand winch 19. When the cab guard 25 is not required, the winch 19 is operated to open the cab guard 25, the driving visibility is improved, and a front glass can be easily cleaned. The convenience of the driving action can be improved.
