PURPOSE: To provide a confirming means which makes it evident immediately by just watching when a document is called, that a document is the newest version if it is the newest one. CONSTITUTION: This system is a document processing system which handles document data having a document data name consisting of a document name and a version number, and checks document data names that are already registered when inputted document data are registered in the system; when document data having the same document name as the inputted document data is not registered, the newest version discrimination attribute of the input document data are registered as the newest version in the system. When the document data having the same document name with the input document data are registered, the registered data which has the same document name with the input document data and has the newest version of the newest version discrimination information is searched for and the newest version discrimination information of the document data is changed into a non-newest version; and the newest version and discrimination information the input document data is changed into the newest version and registered in the system by a registration processing part 1. In addition to this registration processing part 1, the system is equipped with a display processing part 3 which displays words, a picture, or a symbol indicating 'newest version' when the newest version discrimination information of the called document is the newest version when the document data are displayed. |
