PURPOSE: To control the phase of an electromagnetic wave propagated through a dielectric line by using a dielectric strip line as a 1st dielectric and connecting the 1st dielectric to a 2nd dielectric. CONSTITUTION: A 1st dielectric strip line 3 is held between parallel conductor plates 1, 2 and a 2nd dielectric 4 is stuck to the side face of the line 3. The 2nd dielectric 4 has a property capable of changing dielectric constant by a DC field or the like from the external. In this case, the side face of the line 3 is recessed and the dielectric is stuck to the recessed part. The front and rear parts of a joined part between the line 3 and the dielectric 4 are formed like tapers, so that a discontinuous part is generated in impedance and the generation of unnecessary reflection of an electromagnetic wave is prevented. Consequently the phase control of an electromagnetic wave propagated through a non-radioactive dielectric(NRD) can be easily attained. |
