PURPOSE: To obtain the subject new sequence which intervenes on the downstream of point variation region which determines gene type of surface antigen of glucoprotein GPIa of human platelet surface, capable of simply and accurately judging a platelet type and useful for prevention, etc., of disseeases due to disagreement of platelet type. CONSTITUTION: This DNA sequence has a DNA sequence of intron gene which intervenes on the downstream of 3 bases from point variant region determining a gene type of a platelet surface antigen HPA-5 on a gene coding a glucoprotein GPIa which exists on the human platelet surface and has a base sequence expressed by formula I on the upstream side and has a base sequence expressed by formula II on the downstream side and the DNA sequence can simply and accurately judge the gene type of a platelet type of the platelet surface antigen HPA-5 and is useful for prediction and prevention, etc., of diseases derived from disagreement of the platelet type in transfusion of the platelet. The DNA sequence is obtained by separating DNA from human whole blood and cloning the DNA by PCR method using a region existing on the downstream of point variation region which determines antigenicity of HPA-5 from the gene sequence of well-known GPIa as a primer. |
