PURPOSE: To obtain a skin external agent containing a water-soluble rutin, mucopolysaccharide, etc., as active components, capable of preventing darkening of skin, etc., excellent in stability and improving effect of skin roughness and useful as cosmetics and pharmaceuticals, etc. CONSTITUTION: This skin external agent contains (A) a water-soluble rutin such as α-glycosylrutin preferably in an amount of 0.00001-5wt.% (in terms of rutin) and (B) a mucopolysaccharide selected from hyaluronic acid, chondroitinsulfuric acid, dermatan sulfuric acid, heparan sulfuric acid, heparin and keratan sulfuric acid and their salts and/or a protein selected from collagen, elastin and keratin and their derivatives and their salts, preferably in an amount of 0.001-3wt.% as active components. |
