PURPOSE: To prevent the discordance of serial numbers of a disk and a cassette by making serial number data of both an information recording disk and a cassette housing the disk in common. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing number imparted to an optical disk is inputted from a computer 8 and transferred to a writing device 2 and a printer device 4. A cassette changer 6 takes out a cassette one by one from a rack and set it in the device 2. The device 2 takes out an optical disk housed in the cassette and writes the transferred manufacturing number. When writing is finished, the device 2 reads out the manufacturing number written in the disk and coincidence of the number with the transferred manufacturing number data is confirmed. When it is discordance, the device 2 does not write the manufacturing number, ejects it and, if in coincidence, houses a disk on which the manufacturing number is written in the cassette. The changer 6 housing a cassette takes out the cassette, transfers it to the device 4 and the manufacturing number is printed on the cassette by the device 4. |
