PURPOSE: To provide the medium in which certain characters or patterns can easily and satisfactorily be formed on the surface of a protective layer and which is excellent in function for protecting the recorded part and accordingly, has high reliability. CONSTITUTION: In this medium, a dyestuff recording layer 23 is formed on a platelike light-transmissive substrate 21 and an intermediate layer 24 consisting of a metal film is formed on the dyestuff recording layer 23. Further, a protective layer 25 is formed on the intermediate layer 24 by coating the surface of the intermediate layer 24 with an ultraviolet-curable resin and curing this coating layer through irradiating it with ultraviolet rays. Then, a hydrophilic resin film 26 on the surface of which an aqueous printing ink can be fixed is formed on the protective layer 25 by coating the surface of the protective layer 25 with a hydrophilic ultraviolet-curable resin film and curing this film through irradiating it with ultraviolet rays. At this time, the binding strength between the hydrophilic resin film 26 and the protective layer 25 is adjusted to a level higher than that between the protective layer 25 and the intermediate layer 24. |
