PURPOSE: To facilitate the information management for a receiver and to facilitate the setting of management attributes to a box by opening plural mutually different mail boxes to the receiver with receiver identification information and mail box group identification information as parameters. CONSTITUTION: In a facsimile store and forward exchange 1, the receiver of a message stored in the mail box MB is recognized by an UID and the specified MB is opened with a group number for group identification to which the MB belongs as the parameter. When a request is present from a manager terminal 3 through a communication control part 11 and a service request reception processing part 12, an operation management part 14 performs storage in user information 21, group information 22, MB opening/message registration management information 23 and the respective pieces of management attribute information 25, 26 and 27 for the respective units of the group, the receiver and the MB in a manager information storage part 13 corresponding to the request. Thus, the storage is performed in the mail box MB corresponding to the kind of the message, the management of the message of the receiver is facilitated and the management attributes is easily set. |
