PURPOSE: To detect torque correctly and minutely so as to assist man power with accurate control by converting depressing force into the movement of a ferrite in the direction of an axle, and converting the change of inductance of a coil changed by the movement of the ferrite into the change of voltage to take out an electric signal. CONSTITUTION: When a motor-assisted bicycle body starts traveling, a chain sprocket 37 and a rotating plate 42 are going to rotate. A spring 40 therefore presses a final stage pulley 29, and a rotating side casing 6 and a rear wheel are rotated to travel. At this time, the rotating plate 42 is rotated in association with the contraction of the spring 40, and an inclined part 44 is also rotated. A protrusion 46 in contact with the inclined part 44 is pushed in the direction of an axle 39, and a sliding member is also moved in the direction of the axle 39. A ferrite 48 thereby moves in a coil 49 to change magnetic flux. Depressing force is thus converted into the movement of the ferrite 48 in the direction of the axle 39, and the change of inductance of the coil 49 changed by the movement of the ferrite 48 is converted into the change of voltage to take out an electric signal. Torque can thereby be detected correctly and minutely so as to enable accurate control. |
