<p>PURPOSE: To grasp the position and traveling speed of a pig by mounting a transponder thereon. CONSTITUTION: A transponder 14 is mounted on a pig 10. A transmitter 15 for transmitting a signal to the transponder 14 and a receiver 16 for receiving a signal from the transponder 14 are also provided. Furthermore, an observation point 17 is set closely to the transmitter 15 and the receiver 16 and a machine body for controlling the transmitter 15 and the receiver 16 and displaying information concerning the traveling position and speed of the pig 10 is installed at the observation point 17. Time lag and frequency variation are determined from signals received by the receiver 16 in order to derive the position and traveling speed of the pig 10. Since the position of the pig 10 can be grasped accurately, various works can be carried out favorably. Since the traveling speed of the pig can also be grasped, the position can be predicted more accurately.</p> |
