PURPOSE: To provide both a method for cultivating gregarious plants, excellent in productivity and suitable for automation without frequently requiring artificial operation in order to uniformize the stem length during the cultivation period and an apparatus therefor. CONSTITUTION: Seeding is carried out in each unit container having an opened top and many mesh openings bored at the shallow bottom and a pressing lid 3 having many mesh openings is placed on the unit container to thereby close the upper openings of the unit container 2. Sprinkled water from the upper part is then made to flow down through the mesh openings 3a of the pressing lid 3 and the mesh openings of the unit container to germinate the gregarious plants in the unit container. Thereby, the pressing lid is simultaneously lifted by the own strength of the gregarious plants during the growth after the germination. |
