Fibre reinforced molded resin composites are vacuum formed by laying up the fibre reinforcement (9) on the surface of a mold (3) between a pair of resin distribution members (5,6) which ensure even distribution of resin injected into the mold cavity via the injection port (4) throughout the laid-up reinforcement. The resin distribution members (5,6) also act as spacers to space the lay up a small distance from the mold surface and from the flexible cover sheet (1) which covers the lay up and by means of which a vacuum may be applied to the cavity via the vacuum outlets (21,22). Resin permeable peel-off plies (7,8) are preferably provided between the spacers (5,6) and the fibre lay up (9).

|
