PURPOSE: To provide a gas discharge panel having sufficient brightness without dispersion in intensity of emission. CONSTITUTION: In a gas discharge panel, a stepped difference is provided between an upper surface in a side of a dielectric layer 21 of an X electrode 15 and an upper surface 21 similarly in a dielectric layer side of a Y electrode 17, on a back substrate 11. The electrode in either one of this X electrode 15 or Y electrode 17 is provided on the substrate, and the other electrode is provided in a groove 13 provided in the substrate 11. Here is set the groove 13 to a depth larger than a thickness of the other electrode. Further, a distance in a direction of arranging the electrodes, between the one electrode and the other electrode, is set to 0 (zero). |
