PURPOSE: To realize a special call from a communication network to a portable terminal by signal transmission/reception which the frequency is lower than that of the call terminating sequence for normal communication. CONSTITUTION: In the radio communication system consisting or portable terminals 1-1 to 1-n and a communication network 2 including radio base stations 3-1 to 3-m, the communication terminal 2 transmits the call terminating signal where a terminal identifier is described when a special call like the present position confirmation service to portable terminals 1-1 to 1-n is requested. When a communication channel settlement signal is received from the portable terminal 1-i as the object of the special call, a communication channel assignment reject signal is transmitted to the portable terminal 1-i to terminate the communication processing to this portable terminal. |
