INFORMATION RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE: To obtain an information recording/reproducing device, for which the reliability and performance are improved and also the miniaturization is attained, by reducing a tape running resistance and simplifying the structure. CONSTITUTION: The device is arranged in nearly the rhombus forming apexes of"the major axis side by a rotational center of a 2nd reel and a rotational center of a 1st reel in a cartridge 6 and forming apexes of the minor axis side by a head 1 for information arranging two each of tape guide members 2 at both sides and a rotational center of a tape pulling out arm 8 of a tape pulling out device 10 for winding the tape 4 round the 2nd reel 7 from the cartridge 6. The rotational center of the tape pulling out arm 8 is arranged at the position pulling out the tape of the cartridge to the rotational center of the 2nd reel by the tip with the single arcuate locus.
