PURPOSE: To provide an inverter device which can improve the power factor of an input current from an AC current even when the output voltage of a capacitor for smoothing is low, in which one inductor is used for a step-up chopper part, in which a switching element is shared by a chopper part and an inverter part and whose circuit constitution is simplified. CONSTITUTION: One inductor L1 which is shared by a positive half cycle and a negative half cycle is connected across the connection point of capacitors C1, C2 which voltage divide an AC power supply Vs and the connection part of switching elements Q1, Q2 which are connected, together with a capacitor C3 for smoothing, to the output of a rectifier DB which rectifies the AC power supply Vs, diodes D5, D6 are inverse-parallel-connected respectively to the respective switching elements Q1, Q2, and one end of a load circuit is connected to the connection point of the switching elements Q1, Q2. |
