PURPOSE: To extract the outline of even a body, which has corners, from image data so that its shape is reflected by performing energy minimization processing by using an elastic energy having plural discrete points and an image energy consisting of feature quantities in the image, and moving the discrete points. CONSTITUTION: For the energy minimization processing, a process 6 for minimizing the elastic energy is repeated until certain conditions 7 are met after a process 5 for minimizing the image energy was performed. |
