PURPOSE: To correct the color of image data so as to form an excellent image by providing an image processor with color image data input means and a color correction means thereby outputting color image data subject to color correction. CONSTITUTION: A LOG transformation circuit 104 transforms R, G, B luminance signals into cyan C, magenta M, yellow Y density signals being their complementary colors. Then a masking/UCR circuit 105 generates signals in black Bk and masking processing to match color reproducibility. C, M, Y density signals representing chromatic components are given to an LUT 1 circuit 106a, in which a signal Bk representing an achromatic component is processed and it is given to an LUT 2 circuit 106b, then gradation conversion processing is made. Furthermore, the circuits 106a, 106b conduct gradation conversion in response to the mode set by an operation section 113 by means of the CPU 110. The C, M, Y density signals subject to gradation conversion processing are nonlinear-gammaprocessed for each color depending on a printer output characteristic by a printer gamma LUT 107 and the result is outputted by an LD driver 109. |
