PURPOSE: To provide high reliable products capable of surely discriminating the electrical conduction between wiring patterns at a via part by a double-sided wiring type film carrier. CONSTITUTION: Within the method of manufacturing a double-sided wiring type film carrier wherein the wiring pattern provided on the second metallic layer 22 side is exterior plated using the first metallic layer 12 as a feeding layer, the other wiring 26 is performed according to the other wiring pattern finally formed on the second metallic layer 22 after performing the wiring plating 16 according to a wiring pattern finally formed on the first metallic layer 12 and then etching away the second metallic layer 22 to form the other wiring pattern 28b whereon exterior plating step is performed further to form the other wiring pattern 28a by etching away the first metallic layer 12.
