PURPOSE: To soften the degradation of a display contrast with the reflection of external light. CONSTITUTION: A thin film transistor(TFT) 1 and a picture element electrode 2 constituting an active matrix are formed on the upper face of a glass board 3 on the side of a circuit board 10. A common electrode board 20 is opposed to the circuit board 10. The common electrode board 20 has a transparent electrode film 5 formed on the lower face of a glass board 4 to be a common opposed electrode and a shading layer 6 formed corresponding to circuit elements including the thin film transistor 1. The surface of the shading layer 6 where external light is entered, at least, is formed of low-reflectance chromium oxide 9. |
