PURPOSE: To obtain a fitting structure of a decorative side plate which can withstand sufficiently a load action on the decorative side plate from various directions. CONSTITUTION: Regarding a casing structure of a top suspended type air conditioner which is equipped with a main body casing 1 constituting the outer wall of a main body and with decorative side plates 2 made of synthetic resin and fitted to the opposite sides of the main body casing l and is so designed that the decorative side plates 2 can be fitted temporarily by engagement of pawl pieces 23 provided monolithically on the decorative side plates 2 in projection therefrom with engagement holes 17 formed on the main body casing 1 side, openings for the engagement are formed in casing side plates 7 in the main body casing 1, while first engaging ribs each engaging from above with the edge of the opening for the engagement and second engaging ribs 22 being brought into contact with the casing side plates 7 respectively are formed integrally with the decorative side plates 2. |
