PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal display element of which the view angle is wide and the brightness of display is sufficient. CONSTITUTION: A dielectric film 20 is constituted of dielectric layers 21 partially provided on the electrodes 13 on one substrate 11 and an orientation film 15 provided covering the dielectric layers 21, and at least either of specific resistance or dielectric constant are different from each other in a plurality of territories W1 , W2 in one picture element, and the valueΔn.d is set over 600nm.
