SEPARATING MATERIAL TO COMBINE TLC AND RAMAN EFFECT

PURPOSE: To provide a thin layer chromatography separating member with which various kinds of substances can be identified in site with the use of FT-Raman spectroscopy even with a bit of a sample and with which detection limit is remakably improved. CONSTITUTION: A thin layer chromatography separating member contains adsorbent particles having properties such as (a) a thickness layer of 30 to 180μm, (b) an averaged particles size (d50 ) of 0.5 to 10μm and (c) of a particle size distribution (d10 -d90 ) which is less than 15μm, and is contained in an adsorbent layer on a reflective support material.
