METHOD AND EQUIPMENT FOR SHAPING OUTPUT TRAFFIC WITHIN FIXEDLENGTH CELL EXCHANGE NETWORK NODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable scheduling of cell starting time in advance by providing a queued calendar and an action calendar in a shaver controlled by a processor and transmitting a cell by way of the action calendar to be swapped to an output line after writing of the queued calendar is finished. SOLUTION: A transmission part of a network adapter 20 having an output line 25 is equipped with a shaper. This shaper is controlled by a general purpose processor 930, a new output stream is written in a queued calendar 957 by way of an allocation device 950 and the calendar 957 is swapped with an action calendar 959 after writing. Then the calendar 959 is continuously read out and a cell corresponding to a user traffic is outputted on a line 25 by a transmission device 970. Thus, cell starting time can be scheduled in advance and the operation number executed in a cell cycle can be reduced.
