PURPOSE: To functionally carry out dispensing with a simple dispensing device by a method wherein, when a rough dispensing operation and a fine dispensing operation are to be performed by an instruction from a control device, a large pipette chip and a small pipette chip for rough dispensing or fine dispensing are mounted on, and attached to, the tip part of a pipette and a large-diameter cylinder for rough dispensing or a slender-diameter cylinder for fine dispensing is actuated selectively and a dispensing operation is performed. CONSTITUTION: A pipette chip P1 for rough dispensing is held so as to be transferred up to a rack, and the chip P1 is fitted to, and mounted on, the tip part of a pipette P closely. A dispensing device on and to which the chip P1 has been mounted and attached is transferred to a part just above a container in which a liquid to be sucked has been housed, it is lowered, and the liquid comes into contact with the tip part of the chip P1 so as to be detected by a pressure sensor 3. The dispensing device is lowered down to a prescribed depth and stopped on the basis of detection information. A CPU actuates a motor M1 for rough dispensing, it raises a cylinder rod R1 by a definite distance, and the liquid in a prescribed amount is sucked into the chip P1 so as to be confirmed by the sensor 3. Then, the chip P1 is set in another container via a robot, the motor M1 is turned reversely, the rod R1 is lowered, and the liquid in the chip P1 is dispensed. |
