FURNACE WALL STRUCTURE OF ELECTRIC FURNACE

PURPOSE: To provide a furnace structure which is capable of holding an upper refractory definitely in terms of a furnace structure comprising a refractory on the upper part of an electric furnace or the like and a water-cooled box and replacing easily the water-cooled box on the lower part as a unit member. CONSTITUTION: The inside diameter of a steel casing of a furnace wall in a refractory installation range is larger than the inside diameter of the steel casing of the furnace wall in a water-cooled box installation range where an offset portion 5 is installed to the steel casing of the furnace wall. A refractory 1 is constructed above the steel casing offset portion 5 or a ring-shaped fitment is fixed with the inner surface of the steel casing of the furnace, thereby holding the upper refractory 1 and replacing the lower cooled-box easily with a single unit.
