PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing futile toner consumption at the time of starting or completing operation and the generation of a noise caused by the vibration of a cleaning blade and its deformation and damage, while securing cleanness on an image carrier. CONSTITUTION: The image forming device is constituted so that means 21, 22 and 23C for counting an elapsed time after the start of electrification and means 21 and 22 for controlling switching at the time of starting the operation are provided and a toner sticking preventing bias potential Vz is applied (ON) with the delay only of a first setting time Ts1 from the start of the operation (the start of the electrification t1), to actively stick a small amount of toner used as a lubricant to a peripheral part F2 on the side of a developing position P2 of an unelectrified initial peripheral part F from the side of a developing roller 5 and moreover, turned off ahead of schedule at the time of completing the operation. |
