PURPOSE: To enable also a customer having no point card to receive normal point service by preparing a customer file based upon card information from a magnetic card presented by a new customer and inputted personal information. CONSTITUTION: When a new customer having no point card desires to receive point service and presents a carried optional card, a file preparing means prepares a new customer file based upon card information read out from the magnetic card by a magnetic card reader 9 and inputted personal information such as a birthday and a telephone number for the customer under the control of a CPU 14 and normal point service such as point adding processing is executed. Namely the customer can receive point service only by presenting a normally carried optional magnetic card, and since the carrying of a private card is not forced, a customer inviting effect can be efficiently drawn. |
