<p>PURPOSE: To lessen a high-tension coil in resistance induced by a leakage magnetic flux so as to prevent it from increasing in temperature by a method wherein a non-winding part is provided to the center of a high-tension coil winding, and the non-winding part is positioned just over a core gap inside a bobbin. CONSTITUTION: The winding of a high-tension coil 5 is divided into two pieces, and a non-winding part is provided to the center of the two-split winding. Only a crossover of one turn or a few turns is made to traverse the non-winding part to connect two-split coils together, the width D of the non-winding part is set one to three times as large as the width d of a gap. The non-winding part on a bobbin is positioned just over a gap between the mating faces of core legs 10a and 11a inside the bobbin. By this setup, the winding of the high- tension coil interlinked with a leakage magnetic flux is reduced to a minimum in number of turns, so that the high-tension coil is lessened in leakage inductance due to a leakage magnetic flux and decreased in heat release value.</p> |
