<p>PURPOSE: To detect the internal temperature variation or abnormal heating of an object quickly by applying the coil part of an optical fiber to a supporting member made of a material excellent in thermal conductivity and then fixing the supporting member to the object. CONSTITUTION: Coating of a measuring optical fiber is removed to expose a core thereof and a part thereof is turned to form a coil part 8 for measuring the temperature. The coil part 8 is encased in a supporting case 20. The supporting case 20 is made of a metal material excellent in thermal conductivity, e.g. aluminum, stainless steel, iron, or copper. The coil part 8 is fixed in the supporting case 20 by means of a stopper 21. Subsequently, a bolt 22 is inserted from below through an object and a nut 24 is fastened through a washer 23. With such structure, abnormal heat generated in the object is transmitted through the bolt 22 to the supporting case 20 and detected at the coil part 8.</p> |
