PURPOSE: To obtain stable microvibration of a focus system even if the load of a voice coil motor varies. CONSTITUTION: The controller for a voice coil motor has a microvibration waveform generating means 115 which generates a signal for vibrating the movable part of a voice coil motor 103 slightly and constantly, an amplitude detecting means 17 which detects the amplitude of the movable part having the same period with the microvibration, and a motor control block 106 which controls the amplitude of a signal outputted from the microvibration waveform generating means 115 to make the amplitude of the movable part constant, on the basis of the output from this amplitude detecting means 17. |
