PURPOSE: To provide a timing generator which can be used without changing timing data even if the frequency of a reference oscillator changes. CONSTITUTION: When changing from a period value Tn of a first reference oscillator to a second period value Tm, a simple number conversion circuit is provided to divide a setting value M by Tm. A COMP signal input terminal for applying a compensation value (-Tm) is provided at an adder to constitute a timing generator for a plurality of reference oscillators. Also, a differential accumulator 51 for accumulating the difference between a first simple number n and a second simple number m is provided and a phase accumulator 52 for accumulating a value which is less than Tn of the accumulated value which is generated by the differential accumulator 51 is provided. Then, a counter 53 is provided where a binary-shifting operation is performed by the carry output signal of the differential accumulator 51 and holding operation is made by the carry output signal of a phase accumulator 52. |
