PURPOSE: To sufficiently restrain noises in the exhaust of compressed gas with a compact valve by forming an expanded chamber having a specified volume in the exhaust part of a valve body in a low noise valve for restraining noises generated in the exhaust of compressed air or the like remaining in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION: In an embodiment of a ball valve constituted such that a first flow path 51 and second flow path 23 are adapted to communicate to each other through a through hole 31 by changing the attitude of a valve element 3, an exhaust part 24 is formed on the opposite side of the valve body 2 to a stem receiving part 25. A female screw 241 is formed in the exhaust part 24 to be screwed on a support member 91 for supporting a silencing strainer 9. An expanded chamber 10 defined by a recess 33 of the valve element 3, exhaust path 242, space 243 formed between the silencer strainer 9 and exhaust path 242, or the like is provided in the exhaust part 24, while this expanded chamber 10 is formed such that a valueαof the volume V1 of the expanded chamber 10 divided by the inner diameter d1 of a communicating hole 34 is not more than 800.
