The cover, e.g. for documents or fabric or wallpaper samples, consists of hard back and front sections, joined by a flexible spine which can accommodate contents of different thicknesses. The flexible spine is made by reducing the thickness of the material used for the back and front cover sections, e.g. cardboard, by 0.7 or 0.8 of its thickness and for a width equivalent to the maximum thickness of the cover's contents.
