PURPOSE: To prevent condensate from stagnating and to enhance the reliability and the durability of a flowmeter by providing a partition that includes a passage communicating with respective chambers. CONSTITUTION: The inflow air from a small hole 5b or 5a is passed through a chamber 2b or 2a, it enters a case from a hole 7b or 7a, a flow rate is measured by a sensor 11, and the air is passed through the chamber 2a or 2b so as to be discharged from the small hole 5a at the upper part. When dew is condensed on the surface of a partition plate 4 or dust-collecting plates 6 in the chamber 2a during this time, dew- condensed water is discharged to the outside from a passage 31 and the small hole 5b. The dew-condensed water is not thereby stagnated on the partition plate 4 and the dust-collecting plates 6. As a result, it is possible to prevent the sensor 11 from being contaminated due to the dew-condensed water, the long-term stability of the characteristic of the sensor 11 can be maintained, the reliability of a flowmeter can be enhanced, and the flowmeter can be used for a long period. In addition, the passage 31 is used as the branch passage of the inflow air, the amount of the air passing through the sensor 11 can be reduced relatively, and a measuring range can be expanded while the detection sensitivity of the sensor 11 is being maintained.
